The Art of Hiding Technology

At The Sound Room, we value strong, working relationships. So much so that we decided to host a presentation for the CEU entitled, “The Art of Hiding Technology.” The purpose of the presentation was to explore some of the design obstacles architects, interior designers and builders may run into when trying to integrate home electronics into the décor of a home. Stephen Cole, Electronic Systems Designer at The Sound Room, presented several innovative ways on how to lessen the visual impact of electronics without compromising the performance. We were happy to find out that not only were the attendees extremely happy with the presentation, but many called it one of the most insightful CEU presentations they had been to in ages.  We would like to share an email we received from one of the attendees.   David, I just wanted to express my appreciation for the CEU on “The Art of Hiding Technology” presented by your organization last week.  Stephen Cole did a masterful job!  As a professional member of ASID for many (let’s leave the number of years out!) I have had the occasion to attend a lot of these types of sessions.  Quite frankly, a lot of them are a waste of my time.  Either they are too technical, and try to cram year’s worth of studies into one quick session, or more often the reverse, where they barely scratch the surface, and leave you feeling that you didn’t really learn anything! GoldenEar Speakers St. Louis – Now available at The Sound Room

The Saint Louis community is filled with audiophiles who ONLY want the best in home theater technology. In order to accommodate this growing population, The Sound Room has remained committed to carrying high value specialty brands. The Sound Room is pleased to announce the addition of GoldenEar to our family of premier speaker brands. GoldenEar, one of the best-selling loudspeakers in the country, joins a stable of brands that already consists of Bowers & Wilkins, Klipsch, Paradigm, Totem and many others. The addition of GoldenEar further solidifies our placement as one of the top home technology retailers in the St. Louis metro area. Sandy Gross, co-founder of Polk Audio and Definitive Technology, launched GoldenEar in 2010 in an effort to rejuvenate the speaker market. Through the combination of superior sound quality and powerful marketing, GoldenEar has been able to roll their speakers to over 125 dealers, thus taking the entire industry by storm. What truly makes GoldenEar special is their unparalleled commitment to maintaining a strong and reputable brand. Quite often in this industry, the quality of the product will vary on the model and—most notably—price. Mr. Gross is committed to keeping the signature GoldenEar sound in every loudspeaker… regardless of price! Don’t believe us? Check out what Tone Audio had to say about the Aon 3 from GoldenEar. “a level of transparency that, along with the massive bass response, is something rarely heard– and even less rarely heard from a pair of speakers priced just under $1000”. The Sound Room is the ONLY showroom in the metro area that carries the GoldenEar line of speakers. So what are...
