A Closer Look at the Classé Sigma Series MONO Amplifier with Dave Nauber

Another great product we are excited to feature at Music Matters is the Sigma Series MONO Amplifier from Classé! We sat down with Dave Nauber, President of Classé Audio, to discuss this new amplifier and what to expect at Music Matters. Dave has worked for Classé and the B&W  group since 2002, and is self proclaimed audio addict. He’s the perfect person to sit down with and pick his brain. To give you a bit of a background on the product, the Sigma MONO is the reference design for the proprietary Classé amplifier platform introduced in the Delta series CA-D200 and Sigma AMP2 and AMP5 models. With completely separate chassis for each channel, the monaural amplifier eliminates the possibility of crosstalk between channels and allows speaker cable lengths to be held to a minimum to minimize losses. It efficiently delivers a prodigious 350W into 8Ω and 700W into 4Ω, suitable for the most difficult speaker loads and critical listening applications. “These amplifiers are capable of delivering power and performance once thought impossible from a chassis this size. I think people will be impressed!” The basis of this design is advanced switching technologies, used in both the power supply and audio stages. The advancements Classé made using this technology allows the amplifiers to deliver their power while remaining effectively silent as far as the AC shared with preamp/processor and source components. What more could you ask for? When you compare the Sigma MONO with the Sigma AMP2 and AMP5, the MONO utilizes even higher performance analog input circuitry, incorporates changes to the DSP, which optimizes the performance for higher output...

The difference with Paradigm is you get to EXPERIENCE their latest concept design. You get to take it for a test drive, no pun intended. Now, what makes Paradigm’s Concept 4F so special?
