The Sound Room Grand Opening Recap

The Sound Room Grand Opening Recap

We are blown away by the tremendous turn out at our Grand Opening Celebration on February 23rd! A big thank you to 400+ people who came out to join us, it was wonderful to see our showroom filled with so many friends, customers, vendors and new faces. In case you weren’t able to stop by, here’s a recap of our Grand Opening Celebration. We started the Grand Opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony with the Chesterfield Chamber of Commerce and Chesterfield Mayor, Bob Nation. We were lucky enough to have one of our staff members and great photographer, Justin Barr, get some fun shots of the store and ribbon cutting from his drone. We had the pleasure of Mark Reardon and KMOX broadcasting their show live from The Sound Room. It was a fun opportunity for us to have Mark and the crew at the store. We had fun talking through the new showroom features and some of our favorite products. The Grand Opening was scheduled to begin at 4pm, but we had people showing up starting at 2pm for a tour of the store and to talk to vendors. Speaking of vendors, we had a great turnout of reps on hand to discuss new products, offer special sales and talk to our customers. Those vendors included Anthem, AudioQuest, Autco-Luxul, Bowers & Wilkins, Bose, Classe, Control 4, Crestron, Epson, Goldenear, Hikvision, Integra, JL Audio, Lutron, McIntosh, Paradigm, Rotel, Salamander, Sanus, Screen Innocations, Seura, Sonance, Sonos, Sony, Stewart, Totem and URC and more. This year we are working with the Gary Sinise Foundation to help automate 2 smart homes for...
Tales of The Sound Room Employees

Tales of The Sound Room Employees

Every day at The Sound Room is an adventure. We never know who’s going to walk in, what kind of products will be popular and what projects we’ll be asked to complete. We recently sat down with some of our sales team and asked them to share some of their recent client stories and experiences and how The Sound Room was able to assist these customers in a way they would not receive elsewhere. Justin Reeve: I recently had the pleasure of working with a wonderful couple in Chesterfield to design and implement a whole-home audio and video control system with a reference quality media and theater room. They can now listen to music and watch their favorite TV shows throughout the house using simple touch screens and even with their Smart phones, no longer needing to sort through hundreds of CDs and DVDs. No undesired equipment is visible and simply resides in an equipment rack in a basement storage area. The best part about projects like this is seeing the look on our clients faces when they see and hear what is possible with the right equipment. Often times people come to us with an idea of what they want and how they picture it to look. When they realize what we can do for them, and how much better it will be than what they ever imagined, that’s a really great feeling. Seeing the looks on this couple’s face when they were able to experience their new system for the first time is something I will never forget. Rachael Crowell: There was a really nice guy who...
The Sound Room Installs Smart Technology in Specially Adapted Home for SFC Jared Bullock in Carbondale, IL

The Sound Room Installs Smart Technology in Specially Adapted Home for SFC Jared Bullock in Carbondale, IL

When we heard about the Gary Sinise Foundation and their R.I.S.E (Restoring Independence Supporting Empowerment) program was building a house in Carbondale, IL  for SFC Jared Bullock, we knew we wanted to be involved. Core Brands reached out to us to see if we were interested in participating in this project and we jumped. We reached out to the foundation, offered our services and are thrilled to be a part of this project. The goal of this project was to build a smart home that is fully functional for Jared and his family. Jared and his twin brother enlisted in the Army two years after the 9/11 attacks, and in October of 2013 Jared earned his Green Beret. In November of 2013 while on a routine patrol, Jared was severely injured when his ATV ran over an improvised explosive device. He lost his right arm and his right leg in the accident and has since undergone over 30 surgeries. Thanks to the Gary Sinise Foundation, Jared, his wife Jessica and their son Aiden will be able to start a new chapter in their lives in a fully automated specially adapted smart home. This is an extremely exciting home, featuring security, automated remote door locks,  lighting control, motorized shades), video surveillance and recording for security, entertainment including whole house audio and video. This house will be fully automated and be able to controlled via iPad, Tablet and smart phones. There will be touch panels in the Great Room of the house along with other appropriate locations that will make it easy for use. We are working with our suppliers and...

The Sound Room 2016 Holiday Gift Guide, Part 2

The Sound Room 2016 Holiday Gift Guide, Part 2

Last week we shared Part 1 of our Holiday Gift Guide and we’ve been hearing amazing feedback! And without further ado, here is Part 2 of our Holiday Gift Guide: Jared Lange: Anthem P5 If anyone was looking to buy me a gift this holiday season (ahem, sweet, sweet Uncle David Young), the Anthem P5 would be on the top of my list. It’s a 5 channel amplifier that is big, powerful and would be perfect for my theater room. I’ve been needing a new amp and this would be the perfect addition to my system. We currently don’t have one in the story so we just placed an order, while I wait I’ve been going online and looking at pictures of my lovely Anthem P5. Gary Luaders: McIntosh MC275 I have had this on my list for the past couple years, and one these days someone will break down and buy it for me (or, I’ll finally treat myself). The Mcintosh MC275 is a vacuum tube power amplifier that has all the features needed to make every music enthusiast very, very happy. It delivers 75 watts per channel into eight, four or two ohms, or 150 watts in bridged mono mode, via four KT-88 power tubes. It looks awesome and sounds like 2 majestic, beautiful unicorns mating (also known as sounds amazing). I would be one very happy and complete man to add the MC275 to my collection. Gary Macchi: Crestron Matrix Video Switcher I recently updated and installed new TV’s throughout my home. I wanted a way to connect all of the televisions to the BlueRay, DirecTV...
