Technical Sales Representative
The Sound Room, St. Louis’ leader in residential audio video and control technology, is seeking a Technical Sales Representative. The role involves engaging potential customers, understanding their needs, presenting product solutions, negotiating and closing sales and providing post-sales support. The Technical Sales Representative will also collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and achieve sales targets.
Responsibilities:
- As a Technical Sales Representative, you will drive sales to existing clients as well as uncovering and securing new opportunities
- Using your technical knowledge, you will excel at expanding the market presence through prospecting and meeting with client influential stakeholders
- Create innovative technical solutions custom designed specifically for the client with the goal in mind to increase new business each year
- Set and manage client expectations and manage your projects
- Work effectively with internal support teams and technical teams
Qualifications:
- 3 years of technical sales, business development, or sales engineering
- Salesforce CRM (or similar CRM), MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Technical background or understanding in relevant products or services
- Ability to analyze market trends and customer behavior
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities
- Self motivated and target-driven
